Effect of high-frequency electrocoagulation and electric snare in the treatment of colorectal polyps under electronic colonoscope |

Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of high-frequency electrocoagulation and electric snare under enteroscopy in the treatment of colorectal polyps.Methods A total of 172 patients with colorectal polyps admitted to our hospital from January 2017 to June 2018 were selected as research objects and divided into observation group and control group according to different treatment methods,86 cases in each group.Patients in the observation group were treated with high-frequency electrocoagulation and electric snare under electronic colonoscopy,while patients in the control group were treated with endoscopic biopsy forceps.The polypectomy,perioperative complications,operation time and hospitalization time of the two groups were compared.Results The total removal rate of polyps in the observation group (97.67%) and the overall resection rate (100.00%) were higher than those of the control group (82.56%,97.67%),the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the observation group(18.60%) was lower than that in the control group (26.74%),and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The operation time ([41.85±10.36]min) and hospitalization time ([5.32±1.63]d) in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group ([47.67±8.45]min,[7.25±1.24]d),the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The treatment of colorectal polyps by high frequency electrocoagulation and electric snare under electronic colonoscopy has the characteristics of high safety factor and low incidence of complications.It can speed up wound healing time of patients,shorten hospitalization time,reduce patients′ body and life burden,and has high clinical application value.
