Abstract Flavanones are a kind of flavonoids which have higher research value.A large number of studies have shown that flavanones have many biological activities.They have the characteristics of low toxicity, high safety and wide clinical application, which can be used clinically in cardiovascular diseases, respiratory diseases, nervous system and malignant tumors.However, the application of flavanones in clinic is greatly limited because of its low synthetic efficiency, complex synthetic methods and difficult separation.In this paper, through systematic analysis of domestic and foreign research, the pharmacological and biological activities, synthesis methods and mechanism of action of flavanones are systematically summarized, in order to lay a solid foundation for further development and clinical application of flavanones in the future.
