Analysis of urine sediment results in patients with urinary tract infection |

Abstract Objective To analyze the urinary sediment of patients with urinary tract infection, and to explore the diagnostic value of urinary sediment test in urinary tract infection, and provide reference for clinical treatment of patients with urinary tract infection.Methods From March 2016 to December 2017, 122 patients with urinary tract infection treated in our hospital were selected as the subjects, and divided into positive group (n=54) and negative group (n=68)according to the presence or absence of Candida infection.The levels of red blood cells, white blood cells and epithelial cells in urine sediment were detected by FUS-2000 automatic urine sediment analyzer.The urine protein content was determined by Folin-phenol reagent method.The transmittance was analyzed by 722 visible light meter.The erythrocyte, leukocyte and epithelial cells in urine sediment, urinary protein and urinary transmittance were analyzed and compared between the two groups.Results The number of red blood cells, white blood cells and epithelial cells in the positive group were significantly higher than those in the negative group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The urinary protein level of the positive group was significantly higher than that of the negative group,the urinary transmittance of the positive group was significantly lower than that of the negative group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with Candida negative patients, the number of red blood cells, white blood cells and epithelial cells in urine sediments of Candida positive patients increased significantly, urinary protein levels increased, urinary transmittance decreased, suggesting early diagnosis and timely treatment of urinary tract infection.
