Abstract Objective To disscuss the effect of early hyperbaric oxygen therapy in the treatment of diffuse axonal injury. Methods 88 cases of diffuse axonal injury in our hospital from January 2013 to January 2017 were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method,44 cases in each group. The control group was treated with symptomatic comprehensive treatment, the observation group was treated with hyperbaric oxygen in the early stage on the basis of the control group. The improvement of consciousness state, consciousness average recovery time, the sober rate and Grasg′s prognosis score after 6 months of treatment were compared between the two groups. Results The rate of consciousness improvement and the sober rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, moreover, the consciousness average recovery time of the patients in the observation group was significantly shorter than that in the control group, and the good rate of the Grasg′s prognosis in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group, with significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusion Early hyperbaric oxygen adjuvant therapy in patients with diffuse axonal injury can significantly accelerate consciousness recovery and resuscitation, which has good prognosis and has certain clinical application value.
