Abstract Objective To explore the effect of prenatal clinic of maternity nurses on the mental state of pregnant women and the outcome of childbirth.Methods 160 primiparous women who received delivery in our hospital from August to December 2016 were selected as subjects and were randomly divided into two groups according to the random number table method,80 cases per group.The control group was treated with traditional nursing model.The observation group received the regular prenatal clinic.The eutocia rate,cesarean section rate,2 h blood volume of postpartum,Apgar score in the first 1 min after the birth of the newborn,maternal anxiety and depression scores and indicators of neonatal after 3 months were compared between the two groups.Results The cesarean section rate of pregnant women in observation group(26.2%)was lower than that in the control group(47.5%),the 2 h blood volume of postpartum of pregnant women in observation group[(156.28±64.71)ml]was less than the control group[(192.53±56.31)ml],and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The Apgar score in the first 1 min after the birth of the newborn of the two groups were compared,and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).After delivery,the anxiety and depression scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After 3 months,the weight gain of neonates in the observation group was faster than that of the control group,the respiration and pulse rate were less than the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The prenatal clinic dominated by midwife nurses has a better effect on improving the outcome of childbirth and the mental state of pregnant women,help to reduce cesarean section rate and maternal bleeding,improve the health of newborns,which is worthy to promote in clinic care for puerpera.
