Abstract ObjectiveTo explore the application effect of integrated care model in the nursing of patients with inguinal hernia surgery, and to provide scientific and effective solutions for clinical nursing work. Methods 100 patients with inguinal hernia received:tension-free hernioplasty in our department from January 2015 to December 2016 were selected as the research objects and were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method.Patients in the control group(n=50)were given routine nursing intervention, while patients in the observation group(n=50)were given nursing intervention on the basis of the control group. The visual analogue scale(VAS)was used to assess the degree of pain, the Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSOI)was used to determine the sleep quality of the patients. The VAS score,PSOI score, length of hospital stay and nursing satisfaction were compared between two groups.ResultsBefore nursing, there were no significant differences between the scores of VAS and PSOI in two groups(P>0.05); after nursing, the scores of VAS and PSOI in two groups were all decreased, and compared with those before nursing, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).And those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).The length of hospital stay in the observation group were shorter than that in the control group, the nursing satisfaction was higher than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01).ConclusionThrough the integration of medical and nursing intervention, the patients′pain is reduced, the hospitalization time is shortened, the sleep quality is improved, and the patient satisfaction is improved.
