| Influence of family-centered nursing intervention on radiotherapy compliance in patients with breast cancer |

Abstract Objective To explore the influence of family-centered nursing intervention on radiotherapy compliance in patients with breast cancer. Methods 80 patients with breast cancer performed with three-dimensional conformal or intensity modulated radiation therapy in our department from June 2012 to June 2013 were selected as research objects. They were randomly divided into intervention group and control group,with 40 cases in each group.In the control group, conventional nursing intervention was provided,while in the intervention group,family-centered nursing intervention was applied.The difference of treatment compliance in the two groups was compared. Results The level of understanding health education content in intervention group was higher than that of control group,the degree of acute radioactive damage in skin was lower than that of control group,and treatment compliance was higher than that of control group,the differences between two groups were significant（P＜0.05）. Conclusion Family-centered nursing intervention can effectively improve the radiotherapy compliance in patients with breast cancer,alleviate negative emotions,decrease radiation reaction,and improve the quality of life.
