Abstract:Objective To explore the influence of early skin contact of father′s on the prevention of jaundice of newborns in natural childbirth.Methods A total of 300 newborns natural childbirth smoothly from June 2017 to July 2018 in our hospital were selected and randomly divided into the study group and the control group,150 cases in each group.The study group had skin contact with the father within 10 minutes after birth,while the newborns in the control group were placed in the capsule for 1 hour after birth,without early skin contact.The bilirubin values of 24,36,48 and 72 hours after birth were monitored.The duration of successful breast-feeding,the duration of the first sucking,the time of the first meconium excretion,crying,plantar temperature and heart rate of the two groups were observed and recorded.Results The incidence of jaundice in the study group was only 26.7%,which was significantly lower than that in the control group(38.7%)(P<0.05).The duration of first sucking in the study group was longer than that in the control group,the time of the duration of successful breast-feeding,the first meconium excretion in the study group were significantly shorter than those in the control group (P<0.05).The duration of crying in 30,60 and 120 minutes after birth in the study group was significantly shorter than that in the control group,the heart rate in the study group was lower than that in the control group,and the plantar temperature in the study group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion The implementation of father′s early contact is helpful to the prevention of jaundice of newborns in natural childbirth.
