Abstract:ObjectiveTo observe the clinical efficacy of meridian scraping therapy in the treatment of intractable facial paralysis.Methods36 patients with intractable facial paralysis treated in department of acupuncture and moxibustion of our hospital from June 2016 to April 2017 were selected as the object of this study and divided into observation group and control group according to the treatment methods, and there were 18 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with common acupuncture and meridian scraping therapy, while the control group was treated with common acupuncture and scraping therapy.10 days were a course of treatment. After 3 courses of treatment, the pre-and posttreatment House-Brackmann (H-B)facial nerve function grading and clinical curative effect in patients of two groups were evaluated.ResultsThe post-treatment level of H-B facial nerve function grading in two groups was better than that before treatment respectively, and the level of H-B facial nerve function grading of the observation group was significantly better than that of control group (P<0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group was 88.89%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group(77.78%),with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).ConclusionMeridian scraping therapy is effective for intractable facial paralysis and deserves to be popularized.
