Abstract：Professor HAO Xiao-bo is a well-known expert in ophthalmology of traditional Chinese medicine in China,and he has been engaged in ophthalmology of traditional Chinese medicine for more than 30 years from watch,hear,ask and touch to regulating Ren Du meridians.In the external treatment of ophthalmopathy,he followed the theory of traditional Chinese ophthalmology and made some innovations and developments,with abundant experience,and gradually formed his own unique treatment method.Now the experience of external treatment of ophthalmopathy in TCM is summarized as four points:①Regulating Ren Du meridians and dredging meridians to improve immediate vision;②Acupoint catgut embedding combined with syndrome differentiation and skillful treatment of intractable uveitis;③Midnight-noon ebb-flow,eight methods of intelligent turtle for acupoint opening combined with acupuncture in the treatment of difficult ophthalmopathy;④Zhuang medicine medicated thread moxibustion treating eye disease.
