Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of fenestration negative pressure suction in the treatment of jaw cyst. Methods Forty patients with jaw cyst admitted to our hospital from February 2015 to February 2016 were selected as the research objects, and were divided into control group and observation group according to different surgical plans, with 20 cases in each group.Patients in the control group were treated by curettage of jaw cyst, while patients in the observation group were treated by fenestration negative pressure suction. The operation time, intraoperative blood loss, incidence of postoperative pain and numbness, incidence of postoperative infection and relapse rate within 3 years after operation were compared between the two groups. Results The operation time of the patients in the observation group was shorter than that of the control group, the amount of intraoperative hemorrhage was less than that of the control group, the incidence rate of postoperative pain numbness and infection were lower than those of the control group, and the relapse rate of the patients in the observation group within 3 years after operation was lower than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Fenestration negative pressure suction is a simple, reliable, less traumatic, less bleeding, less postoperative complications and low relapse rate treatment of jaw cyst, and the effect is obviously superior to jaw cyst curettage and is worthy of clinical application and promotion.
