Abstract:ObjectiveTo compare the effect of heat gutta-percha filling system and cold gutta-percha filling system in the treatment of chronic periapical periodontitis.Methods100 cases of chronic periapical periodontitis in our hospital from June 2015 to June 2016 were selected and randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group,50 patients in each group.The treatment group was treated with heat gutta-percha filling system,and the control group was treated with cold gutta-percha filling system.The difference of filling time,root filling effect,cure rate and postoperative pain rate between the two groups were compared.ResultsThere was no significant difference between the two groups in the filling effect(P>0.05).The filling time of the treatment group was shorter than that of the control group,with significant difference (P<0.05).After 6 months,the cure rate (92%)and the incidence rate of postoperative pain (6%)of the treatment group were significantly better than that of the control group(74%,22%),with significant difference(P<0.05).ConclusionCompared with gutta-percha filling treatment,the effect of DIY heat gutta-percha filling in the treatment of chronic periapical periodontitis is more effective,and less adverse reactions,which is worthy of promoting in clinic.
