Abstract:Objective To investigate the cleaning and disinfection effect of manual cleaning and cleaning machine on the ventilator external pipeline after use.Methods A total of 108 pieces of ventilator external pipeline after use which was in our hospital from December 2017 to December 2018 were selected.All the external pipelines were divided into the experimental group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 54 pieces in each group.The control group used manual cleaning and disinfection, while the experimental group used cleaning machine for cleaning and disfection.The bacteriology inspection situation, cleanliness, and the average time to clean one external pipeline of the external pipelines after cleaning and disinfection were compared.Results There were no statistically significant differences between the two groups in the detection results of external pipe bacteriology at the end of the cleaning and after cleaning and preservation for 1 month (P>0.05).There was no significant difference in cleanliness and dryness between the two groups (P>0.05).The average time to clean one external pipeline of the external pipelines in the experimental group was (2.41±0.37) min, which was lower than that in the control group ([3.92±0.64]min), and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Manual cleaning and disinfection of the ventilator external pipeline has the same effect as washing and disinfection of the cleaning machine, and the cleaning and disinfection quality is reliable.However, the washing and disinfection of the cleaning machine in batch can significantly reduce the average time consumption, which can be used as the preferred way of cleaning and disinfection of the hospitals′ external pipelines.
