Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical application effect of the self-made tympanic needle in tympanic membrane puncture for secretory otitis media. Methods A total of 60 cases of patients with secretory otitis media treated in our department from January 2017 to June 2018 were selected as study objects.According to the random control table method, they were divided into the observation group (n=30)and the control group (n=30).The observation group was treated with self-made tympanic membrane puncture needle, while the control group was treated with conventional tympanic membrane puncture needle. The operating satisfaction of patients and the occurrence of adverse reactions between the two groups were compared. Results The total satisfaction rate of the observation group was 96.7%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group accounting for 73.4%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no external ear canal skin hemorrhage, tympanic membrane and tympanic mucosal hemorrhage in the observation group. One case of ear pain occurred in the observation group, and the total incidence rate of adverse reactions was 3.3%.In the control group, there were 2 cases of external ear canal skin hemorrhage,2 cases of tympanic membrane and tympanic mucosal hemorrhage, and 4 cases of ear pain, and the total incidence rate of adverse reactions was 26.7%.The total incidence rate of adverse reactions in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with conventional tympanic membrane puncture needles, the application of self-made tympanic membrane puncture needle under rigid auricular endoscopy can significantly improve the treatment effect and operational satisfaction of patients, reduce the risk of tympanic membrane and mucosa damage in external auditory canal, prevent the adverse reactions such as pain, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
