Abstract:Objective To investigate the influence of adjustable suture suturing scleral flap on postoperative intraocular pressure in patients undergoing trabeculectomy. Methods A total of 110 patients with chronic angle-closure glaucoma who were treated at Binhai Hospital of Yingkou Aier Eye Hospital from February to September in 2018 were enrolled. They were divided into the control group and the observation group according to a random number table method, 55 cases in each group. The control group was given non-adjustable suture, and the observation group was given adjustable suture. The incidence of shallow anterior chamber, the surgical success rate, the intraocular pressure index in seven days after surgery, and the intraocular pressure index after two months in the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the incidence of shallow anterior chamber in the observation group was 5.45%, which was much lower than that in the control group accounting for 23.64%, with statistical difference (P<0.05). The surgical success rate of the observation group was 96.36%, which was significantly higher than that of the control group accounting for 70.91%, with significant difference (P<0.05). The intraocular pressure of the observation group was lower than that of the control group at 7 days after operation, with statistical difference (P<0.05). The intraocular pressure at 2 months after surgery in the observation group was lower than that of the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusion The adjustable suture can effectively improve the prognosis of patients with chronic angle-closure glaucoma, and it is worthy of promotion and application.
