Abstract:Objective To analyze the influence of improved cleaning procedures on the quality of high-risk oral instruments. Methods A total of 150 high-risk oral instruments used in the Department of Stomatology in our hospital from December 2017 to December 2018 were selected as the study samples. They were randomly divided into the observation group (n=75) and the control group (n=75) according to the random number table method. In the control group, conventional instrument cleaning procedure was used, while in the observation group, improved cleaning procedure was adopted. The cleaning effect and functional quality of oral instruments of the two groups were compared. Results The qualified rates of the protein residue assay, the 5x magnifying glass assay and the ATP fluorescence assay were 98.67%,97.33%,96.00%,which were higher than those of the control group accounting for 82.67%,80.00%,and 77.33%,with statistical significance (P<0.05).The qualified rate of functional quality of oral instruments after cleaning in the observation group was 100.00%,which was better than that of the control group accounting for 86.67%,with significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusion Improved cleaning procedure can effectively improve the cleaning effect and functional quality of high-risk oral instruments, and reduce the loss of equipment quality, which is worth promoting.
