Abstract:Objective To establish a method for RP-HPLC determination of syringin in Ilex rotunda Thunb..Methods A Kromasil-C18Column (250 mm×4.6 mm) was used with gradient elution using methanol-0.5% acetic acid as mobile phase.The detection wavelength was 290 nm and the column temperature was 30℃with the flow rate of 1.0 ml/min,the samplem injection was 10 μl.Results Linear ranges of syringin was 0.3051-6.102 μg (r=0.9992),respectively.Its average recoveries was 99.67%.Conclusion The RP-HPLC method established in this experiment can be used to determine the contents of syringin in Ilex rotunda Thunb..The method can also be used as the standard for the quality control of Ilex rotunda Thunb.because of simplicity,reliability and accuracy.
