Abstract:Objective To improve the cleaning effect of high-frequency contact surface in the hospital and reduce the incidence of hospital-related infection. Methods From November to December 2016,60 surfaces including keyboard, door handle, telephone, micro pump, bedside bell and bed bar, etc.from departments of gynaecology and obstetrics, orthopedics, and general surgery were selected as research objects. The surfaces were cleaned by the cloths with three different materials and samples were collected before and after cleaning. Results The bacterial clearance rates of disinfecting wipe, microfiber towel, and cotton towel was 93.9%,92.4% and 65.2% respectively, and the qualified rate meeting the hygienic standard after cleaning was 100%,95% and 30% accordingly, and the cleaning effect of disinfecting wipe and microfiber towel were better than that by cotton towel (P<0.05).The bacterial clearance rate was not displayed statistical difference in disinfecting wipe and microfiber towel (P>0.05).Conclusion Both disinfecting wipe and microfiber towel obtain favorable cleaning effect, but the cost performance of disinfecting wipe is much lower than that of the microfiber towel,so microfiber towel is the best choice.
