Abstract：Objective To investigate the clinical effect of Probucol combined with Aspirin treating carotid plaques. Methods 112 patients with atherosclerosis treated by our hospital from January 2013 to June 2015 were selected as study objects.The patients were divided into two groups according to the random number table method,and there were 56 cases in each group.The control group received Aspirin for oral treatment(two months).On this basis,the observation group was treated with oral administration of Probucol(two months).The level of blood lipid,plaque and adverse events were observed before and after treatment.Results The level of blood lipid,plaque and adverse events were observed before and after treatment.Results After treatment,the total cholesterol [(4.03±0.46)μmol/L],low density lipoprotein [(2.12±0.41)mmol/L],triglyceride[(1.01±0.39)mmol/L],high density lipoprotein[(3.89±0.76)mmol/L],plaque area[(0.61± 0.22)cm2],carotid intima-media thickness[(0.45±0.11)mm]in the observation group were better than the control group [total cholesterol(4.67±0.70)μmol/L,low density lipoprotein(3.05±0.56)mmol/L,triglyceride(2.97±0.58)mmol/L,high density lipoprotein(1.79±0.87)mmol/L,plaque area(0.93±0.30)cm2,carotid artery intima thickness(0.87±0.19)mm)(P＜0.05)].There were no serious adverse events in the two groups,the difference was not significant(P＞0.05).Conclusion Treatment effect of Aspirin combined with Probucol for carotid plaque dissolution is better,and it can effectively regulate blood lipid level,improve plaque,and high safety.
