Objective To investigate the clinical effect of free peroneal perforator flap in repairing the wound of infective ulcer of foot. Methods A total of 60 patients with foot infectious ulcer wounds admitted to Nanchang First Hospital from September 2018 to October 2019 were selected as the research subjects and divided into control group(30 cases)and treatment group(30 cases)according to random number table method. The control group used pedicle flap repair, the treatment group was repaired with free peroneal artery perforator flap. The recovery of the skin flap, the sensory function of the skin flap and the foot function scores before and after operation were compared between the two groups. Results Twelve months after operation, there was no significant difference in the recovery of skin flap between two groups(P>0.05).The recovery rate of sensory function of flaps in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in American orthopaedic foot and ankle society(AOFAS)scores and AOFAS functional scores between the two groups before surgery(P>0.05).At 12 months after surgery, the AOFAS score and AOFAS functional score in both groups were higher than those before surgery, and the AOFAS score and AOFAS functional score in treatment group were higher than those in control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Free peroneal artery perforator flap for repairing foot infection and ulcer wound with reliable blood supply, moderate thickness, sensory function recovery after surgery is better, and good prognosis, can effectively restore the patient's foot function level.
