Investigation and intervention countermeasures in disposal of blood splashes of township hospital delivery room

Abstract：Objective To grasp the disposal methods of blood splashes of 21 township hospitals in the delivery room with in jurisdiction,and to implement prevention and control measures of nosocomial infection.Methods 63 nurses from 21 township hospitals within the jurisdiction from April 2016 to May 2017 were selected as the subjects,the management of disinfectant and the management knowledge of the village nurses were investigated and intervened,the result before and after intervention was compared.Results The correct rate of delivery room related knowledge answer,the qualified rate of concentration selection and preparation of disinfectant with chlorine,the qualified rate in blood splashes of cleaning and disinfection operation examination and six step washing manipulation assessment after intervention was higher than that before intervention,with significant difference (P＜0.01).Conclusion There are many defects in the environment cleaning and disinfection management in delivery room of 21 township hospitals in the jurisdiction,and the related knowledge of nursing staff is not enough.Strengthening the training and supervision of related knowledge,improving the awareness rate of related personnel,and grasping the weak link of delivery room in township hospitals are the keys to implement the prevention and control measures of nosocomial infection.
