Abstract:ObjectiveTo explore the clinical effect of AO titanium elastic intramedullary screw in the treatment of femoral shaft fractures in children.MethodsAltogether 69 children with femoral shaft fractures who were treated in our hospital from March 2015 to March 2016 were involved as the object of this study and divided into the control group (34 cases)and the study group (35 cases)according to the random number method. The control group was treated with open reduction therap, the study group was treated with AO titanium elastic intramedullary screws. The curative effect of the two groups was compared.ResultsThe excellent and good rate of the study group was 100.00%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group(85.29%),with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The clinical fracture healing time and bony healing time of the study group was significantly lower than that of the control group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The incidence rate of complications of the study group was 5.71%,which was significantly lower than that of the control group(23.53%),with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Application of AO titanium elastic intramedullary screw has a significant clinical effect in the treatment of femoral shaft fractures in children, and can promote the early recovery of fracture.
