Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of transumbilical single-port laparoscopic appendectomy in the treatment of chronic appendicitis. Methods From January 2012 to December 2015,140 cases of chronic appendicitis patients in our hospital were selected as study subjects and divided into two groups by random number table method, each group had 70 cases.Patients in control group were given routine appendectomy, and patients in observation group were treated with transumbilical single-port laparoscopic appendectomy.Operation time, intraoperative blood loss, anal exhaust recovery time, hospital stay, postoperative pain score, postoperative complication rate were compared between two groups. Results Operation time of two groups were compared, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05),but intraoperative blood loss in the observation group was significantly less than that in the control group(P<0.01),anal exhaust recovery time and hospital stay was significantly shortened(P<0.01),and postoperative pain scores was significantly lower(P<0.01).Postoperative complication rate of the observation group was 2.86%,significantly lower 11.43%of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Transumbilical single-port laparoscopic appendectomy in the treatment of chronic appendicitis can effectively reduce trauma caused by surgery to patients, reduce postoperative complications, promote postoperative recovery.
