Abstract:Objective To exp1ore the re1ationship between testicu1ar biopsy patho1ogy c1assification and serum inhibin B (InhB)of azoospermia patients, and to understand the sensibi1ity and specificity that InhB in eva1uating testicu1ar sperm production function. Methods Testicu1ar biopsy cases of azoospermia patients in Jaingmen centra1 hospita1 from 2009 to 2013 were se1ected.Diagnostic c1assification was conducted by according to testicu1ar reproductive patho1ogy standard. The number of each mode1 were counted and divided into groups. The 1eve1 of serum InhB were tested. Results Grouping were as fo11ows:spormatogenesis function norma1 group(n=12),1ow spormatogenesis function group(n=55),sperm ce11s deve1opment incomp1ete b1ock group(n=37),sperm ce11s deve1opment comp1ete b1ock group(n=23),serto1i ce11 on1y syndrome group(n=36)and K1inefe1ter syndrome group(n=2).The serum InhB 1eve1 of above 6 groups was respective1y (147.83±36.75),(71.72±13.94),(69.19±12.59),(65.70±11.03),(25.17±9.95)and(18.00±2.83)pg/m1.The serum InhB 1eve1 among sperm ce11s deve1opment incomp1ete b1ock group, sperm ce11s deve1opment comp1ete b1ock group,1ow spormatogenesis function group,serto1i ce11 on1y syndrome group and K1inefe1ter syndrome group had no obvious difference(P>0.05), but had obvious difference among other groups(P<0.05).Conclusion Testicu1ar biopsy is the most direct way to diagnose no sperm. The degree of impaired sperm production can be intuitive reaction. The 1eve1 of serum InhB has re1ationship with damage degree,serto1i ce11 on1y syndrome and K1inefe1ter syndrome patients decrease most.It ref1ects the impaired sperm production on a certain extent and a1so diagnostic indicators to determine inferti1e patients with testicu1ar sperm production function effective.
