Abstract:Objective To compare the application value of specific cellular immune response to tuberculosis bacilli(A. TB detection)and Mycobacterium tuberculosis antibody in diagnosis of tuberculosis. Methods From July 2014 to December 2015,113 tuberculosis(TB)suspects who visited the infectious disease section of our hospital were recruited. During the same term,20 healthy volunteers were included as control.Of the 133 subjects,65 cases were in TB group,48 cases were in non-TB group and 20 cases were in control group. All subjects were tested by both A.TB and TB-Ab,while tuberculin skin test(TST)was performed among subjects in non-TB group and control group. Results The sensitivity and specificity of A.TB were 86.27%and 75.15%,respectively.While the sensitivity and specificity of TB-Ab were 73.91% and 59.46%,respectively.There were significant differences between those of A.TB and TB-Ab(χ2=3.941,P=0.047 and χ2= 5.268,P=0.022,respectively).Both A.TB and TB-Ab had positive correlation with TST results(r=0.280,P<0.05 and r= 0.253,P<0.05,respectively).Conclusion The performance sensitivity and specificity of A.TB are significantly superior to TB-Ab.According to A.TBs′test specification,A.TB is suitable for clinical application in primary hospitals at all levels.
