| Clinical effect of Banxia Xiexin Decoction combined with Western medicine in treating patients with gastric ulcer due to weakness of spleen and stomach |

Abstract Objective To explore the clinical effect of Banxia Xiexin Decoction combined with Western medicine in the treatment of gastric ulcer patients with weak spleen and stomach.Methods From March 2019 to March 2020,120 cases of gastric ulcer patients with spleen and stomach weakness syndrome admitted to the Department of Gastroenterology,Huludao Central Hospital in Liaoning Province were selected as the research objects,and they were divided into the experimental group and the control group according to the random number table method,with 60 cases in each group.The control group was treated with conventional Western medicine,and the experimental group was combined with Banxia Xiexin Decoction on the basis of the control group.Both groups were treated for 1 month.The clinical efficacy,traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)symptom and sign scores,the incidence of adverse reactions and the recurrence after half a year follow-up were compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,the total effective rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the scores of vomiting clear water,stomach noise,lazy speech,shortness of breath,acid reflux,epigastric tiredness after eating,loose stools,epigastric/fleshy distension in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in experimental group was lower than that in control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The recurrence rate in experimental group was lower than that in control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion Banxia Xiexin Decoction combined with Western medicine has high clinical value in the treatment of gastric ulcer patients with syndrome of spleen and stomach weakness.
