Effect study of instructional ward rounds in the form of clinical teaching unit among interns |

Abstract Objective To explore the effect of teaching ward rounds in the form of clinical teaching unit(CTU)among interns.Methods A total of 160 interns in Children′s Hospital Affiliated to Chongqing Medical University from January to December 2020 were selected as research subjects,they were divided into the observation group and the control group by random number table method,80 cases in each group.The observation group adopted CTU form of teaching rounds,the control group underwent ward rounds with traditional teaching.The scores of clinical thinking ability,comprehensive evaluation scores and teaching satisfaction scores between the two groups were compared.Results The scores in the three dimensions of clinical thinking of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores cooperation,ability assessment and learning attitude of the observation group were higher than those of the control,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).At the end of the rotation,the satisfaction with teaching methods,overall performance,self-learning ability,their own communication ability,clinical skills,self-learning ability and other aspects of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion CTU can significantly improve the clinical thinking ability and comprehensive ability of interns,and effectively improve the interns′satisfaction with the improvement of teaching methods and their own abilities,which is worthy of application and promotion in teaching activities.
