Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of periodontal tissue regeneration combined with orthodontics in the treatment of periodontitis. Methods A total of 80 patients with periodontitis admitted to the Jingchu Institute of Technology Affiliated Central Hospital from September 2018 to April 2020 were selected as the research objects, and they were divided into the experimental group(40 cases)and the control group(40 cases)according to the cluster random method. The experimental group was treated with orthodontics combined with periodontal tissue regeneration, and the control group was treated with periodontal tissue regeneration. The effective rate, gingival sulcus bleeding index(SBI),plaque index(PLI),clinical attachment loss(CAL),periodontal probing depth(PPD),the total incidence rate of adverse reactions and the recurrence rate were compared between the two groups. Results The effective rate after treatment of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The SBI after treatment of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The PLI after treatment of the experimental group was 0.79±0.08,which was lower than that of the control group(1.17±0.21),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The CAL after treatment of the experimental group was(4.32±0.45)mm,which was lower than that of the control group(4.97±0.73)mm,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The PPD after treatment of the experimental group after treatment was(3.42±0.17)mm,which was lower than that of the control group(4.18±0.38)mm,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence rate of adverse reaction of the experimental group after treatment was lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The recurrence rate of the experimental group after treatment was lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Orthodontics combined with periodontal tissue regeneration is helpful to improve the periodontal condition of patients with periodontitis, improve the curative effect and overall safety.
