Influence factors of insufficient physical recovery in breast cancer patients during rehabilitation |

Abstract Objective To study the influence factors of insufficient physical recovery in breast cancer patients during rehabilitation. Methods From January 2016 to December 2018, 116 patients who received regular follow-up after breast cancer surgery in Songzi Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Jingzhou City, Hubei Province were selected as the research objects. All patients were assessed by international physical activity questionnaire short form (IPAQ-SF).According to the results, all patients were divided into insufficient group (26 cases) and good group (90 cases). The clinical characteristics of the two groups were compared, and multivariate analysis was performed. Results There were 26 cases (22.41%) of patients with insufficient physical activity, 63 cases (54.31%) were moderate, and 27 cases(23.28%) were active. There were statistically significant differences in the three types of patients in sitting time, activity time, overall physical activity consumption, and medium-to-high intensity activity days (P<0.05). Univariate analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences in the proportion of patients with age≥50 years old, body mass index (BMI)≥24 kg/m2, TNM stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ, chemotherapy, cancer-related fatigue and ipsilateral lymph node edema between the two groups (P<0.05). Multivariate analysis showed that age≥50 years (β=1.915, OR=6.789, 95%CI=1.131-40.752), BMI≥24 kg/m2(β=2.420, OR=11.246, 95%CI=1.889-66.952), TNM stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ(β=2.504, OR=12.234,95%CI=2.379-62.913), chemotherapy (β=1.736, OR=5.674, 95%CI=1.324-24.316), cancer-related fatigue (β=1.812,OR=6.124, 95%CI=1.254-29.907), lymph node edema on the affected side (β=2.676, OR=14.521, 95%CI=2.346-89.880) were risk factors for insufficient physical recovery in convalescence of breast cancer patients (P<0.05).Conclusion Age,BMI,TNM stage,chemotherapy, cancer-related fatigue, and lymphedema on the affected side can all affect the physical recovery of breast cancer patients.
