| Analysis of the effect of Somatostatin on improving the prognosis of patients after laparoscopic gastrointestinal perforation repair |

Abstract Objective To study the effect of Somatostatin on improving the prognosis of patients after laparoscopic gastrointestinal perforation repair.Methods A total of 77 cases of patients undergoing laparoscopic gastrointestinal perforation repair were selected from the Department of Emergency Surgery,Fuzhou First People′s Hospital from November 2019 to January 2021,according to random number table method to divide into control group(39 cases)and treatment group(38 cases).Both groups of patients underwent laparoscopic gastrointestinal perforation repair.Postoperative,patients in the control group were given routine postoperative treatment such as fluid rehydration and anti-inflammatory,the treatment group was given Somatostatin.The postoperative recovery,hospital stay,hospital costs and postoperative inflammatory cytokine levels and the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups.Results Postoperative bowel function recovery time,first normal eating time,gastrointestinal decompression and drainage time,first bowel movement time,first time out of bed,the drainage tube indwelling time and hospital stay in treatment group were shorter than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Hospitalization expenses in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Three days after operation,the serum tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α,interleukin(IL)-6,and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)levels of the treatment group were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of postoperative complications in the treatment group is lower than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Application of somatostatin after laparoscopic repair of gastrointestinal perforation can effectively improve postoperative recovery,reduce the level of inflammatory factors in the body,shorten hospital stay,reduce hospital costs,the overall incidence of postoperative complications and significantly reduced,better prognosis than conventional postoperative anti-inflammatory treatment.
