| Application effect of Compound Pancreatin Tablets in elderly patients with nasal feeding in Neurology Department |

Abstract Objective To analyze the application effect of Compound Pancreatin Tablet in elderly patients with nasal feeding in Neurology Department.Methods A total of 94 elderly patients with nasal feeding received from the Department of Neurology of Yichun People′s Hospital from October 2019 to February 2021 were selected,and they were divided into the control group(47 cases)and the study group(47 cases)by a random number table methods.The control group was given routine nasal feeding,and the study group was added with Compound Pancreatin Tablets on the basis of the control group.The incidence status of complications such as gastric retention,abdominal distention,aspiration,diarrhea,gastric tube obstruction,treatment efficiency and nutritional status of the two groups were observed.Results The total incidence rate of complication in the study group was 10.64%,which was lower than 27.66% in the control group,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The total effectiveness rate in the study group was 97.87%,which was higher than 82.98% in the control group,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in the levels of serum total protein(TP),hemoglobin(HGB)and prealbumin(PA)between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,the levels of TP,HGB,and PA in the study group were higher than those in the control group,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The levels of TP,HGB,and PA in the two groups after treatment were higher than those before treatment,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion The use of Compound Pancreatin Tablets in elderly patients with nasal feeding in the Department of Neurology can effectively reduce the risk of complications of indwelling gastric tube and improve their nutritional status.
