Abstract Objective To explore the application of fast track surgery (FTS) concept in nursing care of retroperitoneal laparoscopic adrenalectomy. Methods A total of 60 patients with retroperitoneal laparoscopic adrenalectomy in Fuzhou First People′s Hospital,Jiangxi Province from May 2018 to March 2020 were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to random number table method,30 cases in each group. The control group was given conventional nursing mode, while the observation group was given FTS concept nursing. The operation time, postoperative blood loss, intraoperative body temperature and postoperative hypothermia, incidence of shivering, visual analogue scale (VAS) score and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The total satisfaction of the observation group was 96.67%,higher than 73.33% of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05);the incidence of postoperative hypothermia and shivering in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The operation time of the observation group was shorter than that of the control group, the postoperative bleeding volume was less than that of the control group, the VAS score was lower than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).However,there was no significant difference in intraoperative body temperature between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion The application of FTS in the treatment of patients with retroperitoneal laparoscopic adrenalectomy can effectively improve the patient′s condition, reduce the incidence of postoperative hypothermia and chills, shorten the operation time, relieve postoperative pain, and improve nursing satisfaction, which is worthy of promotion.
