Abstract Objective To explore the influence of strengthening health education on drug treatment compliance of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis.Methods A total of 60 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis patients in General Hospital of Pingxiang Mining Group Co.,Ltd from January 2017 to November 2019 were selected as the research objects,and they were divided into the control group(30 cases)and the observation group(30 cases)according to the random number table method.The control group was given routine nursing,and the observation group was given intensive health education.The psychological status,quality of life,tuberculosis related knowledge and compliance were compared between the two groups.Results After the intervention,the scores of Hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA)and Hamilton depression scale(HAMD)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,the scores of short form health questionnaire 36(SF-36) and the mastery of tuberculosis related knowledge of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).The total compliance of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).Conclusion Strengthening health education has positive significance for patients with pulmonary tuberculosis,which can improve patients′anxiety,depression and other negative emotions,and SF-36 score is higher,patients have more knowledge about pulmonary tuberculosis,drug treatment compliance is higher,and application value is higher.
