Objective To study the application evaluation and complications of implantable intravenous infusion port(VAP) in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.Methods A total of 100 breast cancer patients who received chemotherapy in Jiangxi Cancer Hospital from January 2017 to December 2019 were selected and randomly divided into the control group (n=50) and the observation group (n=50).Central venous catheterization was used in the control group and VAP catheterization was used in the observation group.The quality of life and complications of the two groups were compared.Results There was no significant difference in the quality of life between two group before catheterization (P＞0.05).After catheterization, the scores of physiological function, emotional function, mental health,physical health and mental health of the two groups were lower than those before catheterization, while the score of physical pain was higher than that before catheterization, and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).The scores of overall health self-evaluation, vitality, social function, emotional function, mental health mental health in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).There were no significant difference in the scores of physiological function, physiological function, body pain physical health between the two groups (P＞0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of catheter failure,catheter-related thrombus, puncture site infection, unplanned extubation and other complications between the two groups (P＞0.05).Conclusion VAP can significantly improve the quality of life of patients with breast cancer and has clinical application value.
