Clinical effect of three-leaf plasma enucleation of prostate in treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia |

Abstract Objective To investigate the clinical effect of three-leaf plasma prostatectomy for benign prostatic hyperplasia.Methods A total of 77 cases of benign prostatic hyperplasia admitted in the Second People′s Hospital of Yichun City from January 2014 to December 2019 were selected as the research objects.According to the odd and even number grouping method, they were divided into a reference group (42 cases) and a treatment group (35 cases).Transurethral resection of the prostate was performed in the reference group, and three-leaf plasma prostatectomy was performed in the treatment group.The intraoperative blood loss, washing time, extubation time, the volume of the prostate specimen obtained, the length of hospital stay, the international prostate symptom score (IPSS) score and the occurrence of complications were compared between the two groups.Results The amount of blood loss, washing time,extubation time, and hospital stay in the treatment group were shorter than those in the reference group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The volume of prostate specimens obtained by patients in the treatment group was larger than that in the reference group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The IPSS score of patients in the treatment group was lower than that of the reference group one month after surgery, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The postoperative complication rate of patients was lower than that of the reference group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Trefoil plasma prostatic enucleation in the treatment of patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia can reduce the intraoperative blood loss, shorten the hospital stay, improve prostate symptoms, and reduce complications.
