| Effect observation of hard channel puncture and drainage and intraoperative irrigation in the treatment of chronic subdural hematoma in middleaged and elderly |

Abstract Objective To investigate the clinical effect of hard channel puncture drainage and intraoperative irrigation in the treatment of chronic subdural hematoma (CSDH) in middle-aged and elderly.Methods A total of 60 middleaged and elderly patients with CSDH admitted to Shangrao Municipal Hospital from January 1, 2018 to January 10,2020 were selected as the research objects.According to different treatment methods, they were divided into the control group and the observation group, 30 cases in each group.The control group used traditional drilling and drainage, and the observation group used hard channel puncture and drainage and intraoperative irrigation.The total clinical treatment efficiency, clinical related indicators, the incidence of complications and the recurrence rate were compared between the two groups.Results There was no significant difference in the total clinical treatment effective rate between the two groups (P＞0.05).The total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the recurrence rate between the two groups (P＞0.05).The operation time, drainage time, and hospitalization time of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).Conclusion The clinical effective rate of hard channel puncture and drainage and intraoperative irrigation in middle-aged and elderly patients with CSDH is higher, which helps to shorten the operation time, drainage time, hospitalization time, and the incidence of complications and recurrence rate are lower.
