Abstract Objective To investigate the clinical effect of femtosecond small incision lens removal and femtosecond laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) in the treatment of patients with ametropia.Methods A total of 80 patients (160 eyes) with ametropia who underwent preoperative correction in the Third People′s Hospital of Dalian from May 2018 to May 2019 were selected as the research subjects.According to random number table method,they were divided into observation group (40 cases) and control group (40 cases).The observation group received full femtosecond small incision lens removal (SMILE) surgery,and the control group received LASIK surgery.The follow-up period was 1 year.The corneal endothelial cell density,corneal perceptual ocular surface disease index (OSDI) score,intraocular pressure and visual acuity changes,and the incidence of complications were compared between the two groups before and after surgery.Results One year after operation,the density of corneal endothelial cells in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The OSDI score of the observation group was higher than that of the postoperative control group,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The intraocular pressure of the observation group was lower than that of the control group,and the visual acuity of the observation group was higher than that of the control group after the operation and one year after the operation,the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,with statistical significance (P<0.05).Conclusion Full femtosecond SMILE surgery can effectively promote the recovery of corneal function and improve visual acuity,with fewer complications and high safety.
