Application effect of health education in nursing of elderly osteoporotic hip fracture |

Abstract Objective To explore the application effect of health education in nursing of osteoporotic hip fracture in the elderly.Methods Sixty-six elderly osteoporotic hip fracture patients admitted to Hongqi Hospital Affiliated to Mudanjiang Medical University from September 2017 to September 2019 were selected as the research objects,and were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the ″dynamic random grouping method″,33 cases in each group.The control group adopted routine nursing intervention,and the observation group adopted health education.The drug knowledge mastery score,fracture incentive and prevention score,quality of life scale (SF-36) score and total nursing satistaction were compared between the two groups.Results After nursing,the observation group′s knowledge of osteoporosis drugs scored (74.52±4.61) points,and the score of fracture causes and preventive measures knowledge was (77.86±4.35) points,which were higher than those of the control group of (68.14±3.76) and (71.14±3.87)points (P<0.05).The observation group′s physiological function score was (31.21±2.24) points,physiological function score was (32.86±2.64) points,vitality score was (31.97±2.74) points,social function score was (31.12±2.14) points,the role function score was (32.21±2.53) points,the cognitive function score was(31.58±1.98)points,the mental health score was (32.66±2.05),and the overall quality of life score was (34.27± 2.32) points,all higher than those of the control group of (28.12±1.35),(29.10±2.31),(28.10±1.33),(28.86±1.62),(29.11±1.10),(27.67±1.22),(28.87±1.55),(31.33±1.99) points (P<0.05).The nursing total satisfaction of patients in the observation group was 93.94%,which was higher than 66.67% in the control group,the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The clinical effect of health education in nursing care of elderly osteoporotic hip fractures is significant.It can not only improve patients′health knowledge,but also improve patients′ quality of life and nursing satisfaction.It is suitable for clinical implementation and promotion.
