Effect of Tigecycline combined with Cefoperazone Sulbactam in the treatment of severe pneumonia caused by multi-drug resistant bacteria |

Abstract Objective To explore the effect of Tigecycline combined with Cefoperazone Sulbactam in the treatment of severe pneumonia caused by multi-drug resistant bacteria. Methods A total of patients with severe pneumonia caused by multi-drug resistant bacteria treated in the Affiliated Huai′an NO.1 People′s Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from January 2017 to February 2020 were selected as research objects. According to the random number table method,they were divided into experimental group and control group, with 40 cases in each group. The experimental group took Tigecycline combined with Cefoperazone Sulbactam treatment, the control group was treated with Cefoperazone Sulbactam. The treatment efficiency, oxygen metabolism indexes, and adverse reactions of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of experimental group after treatment was higher than that of control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). After treatment, the indexes of oxygen saturation (SaO2), oxygen supply (DO2),and partial pressure of oxygen (PaO2) in the two groups were higher than those before treatment, and oxygen consumption(VO2) was lower than that before treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The indexes of SaO2,DO2, PaO2 in the experimental group were higher than those in the control group, and VO2 was lower than in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Patients with severe pneumonia caused by multi-drug resistant bacteria are treated with Tigecycline combined with Cefoperazone Sulbactam, which has a positive effect on improving the state of oxygen metabolism. The treatment effect is significant, and the safety of medication is high.
