Effect of Levofloxacin and Pyrazinamide in treating elderly patients with pulmonary tuberculosis and hypertension and influence on renal function and adverse reactions |

Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of Levofloxacin and Pyrazinamide in treating elderly patients with pulmonary tuberculosis and hypertension and influence on renal function and adverse reactions. Methods A total of 150 elderly patients with pulmonary tuberculosis and hypertension were selected from October 2017 to October 2019 in designated hospital in our city. They were divided into control group (75 cases) and study group (75 cases) according to random number table method. The control group was treated with Levofloxacin, Rifampicin, Ethambutol and Isoniazid.The study group was treated with Pyrazinamide, Rifampicin, Ethambutol and Isoniazid. The curative effect, the level of renal function and the influence of adverse reaction were compared between the two groups. Results After half a year of medication, the renal function indexes such as creatinine, serum cystatin, urea nitrogen, uric acid and urinary microalbumin of the study group were higher than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The total incidence of adverse reactions in the study group was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The negative conversion rates of sputum bacteria of 1, 2 and 3 months after medication in the study group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion In the treatment of senile pulmonary tuberculosis with hypertension,Pyrazinamide is more effective than Levofloxacin, and has a greater impact on renal function and adverse reactions,which should be paid attention in the course of treatment, strengthening the detection of all kinds of blood uric acid,and timely symptomatic treatment, as far as possible to reduce kidney injury.
