Clinical effect evaluation of micro-implant anchorage nail in distal movement of maxillary full dentition |

Abstract ObjectiveTo observe the clinical effect of micro-implant anchorage nail in distal movement of maxillary full dentition in the treatment of patients with anterior teeth protrusion in classⅡ.MethodsFrom April 2014 to April 2016,45 patients with anterior teeth protrusion in classⅡtreated in Department of Orthodontics in our hospital were selected.They were randomly divided into group A (n=23)and group B (n=22).In group A,the technique of micro-implant anchorage nail in distal movement of maxillary full dentition was adopted,while in group B,molar by headgear was used.The moving distance of maxillary dental arch and changes of soft tissue before and after treatment were analyzed.ResultsThe therapeutic effect in all participants was satisfactory.The U1-X,U1-Y,and U6-Y in group A after treatment were higher than those in group B,with statistical differences(P<0.05).No great difference was displayed in other indexes between the two groups(P>0.05).ConclusionApplication of micro-implant anchorage nail can effectively move maxillary full dentition in a certain distance at advantages of stable anchorage and few side effects,and has a favorable effect in patients with anterior teeth protrusion in classⅡ.
