| Influence of painless labor on induction of COOK balloon and maternal and neonatal outcomes |

Abstract Objective To investigate the effect of painless labor on the induction of COOK balloon and maternal and neonatal outcomes.Methods A total of 190 full-term primiparous women who underwent COOK balloon induction in Maternal and Child Health Family Planning Service Center in Wuchuan City,Guangdong Province from August 2017 to August 2019 were selected as the research objects and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the lottery grouping method,with 95 cases in each group.The control group was given routine delivery,and the observation group was given painless delivery.Cervical maturity,pain,pregnancy outcome,labor time,adverse maternal and neonatal outcomes were compared between the two groups.Results There was no significant difference in cervical maturity (Bishop) score between the two groups before and after intervention (P＞0.05).The visual analogue scale (VAS)score of the observation group after intervention was lower than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).The natural delivery rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,the cesarean delivery rate was lower than that in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).The time of the first labor of the spontaneous labor women in observation group was shorter than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).The total incidence of adverse maternal and neonatal outcomes in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).Conclusion Painless delivery in COOK balloon induced labor can reduce pain,increase the rate of natural delivery,shorten the labor time and improve maternal and child outcomes.
