Abstract Air pollution is one of the main negative factors affecting human health.Long-term exposure to air pollution has been correlated with many respiratory disorders.Outdoor air pollution,classified as class Ⅰcarcinogen by the International Agency for Research on Cancer,contributes to the occurrence of lung cancer via various mechanisms.Nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells,also called NF-κB,is a protein complex that regulates DNA transcription.NF-κB is expressed in most cells and plays a significant role in the tumor,inflammation,autoimmune disease,development of the immune system,and viral infection.In recent years,researches on NF-κB have been increased gradually.This article will review the research progress on NF-κB in air pollution-related lung cancer.
