| Effect and safety of narrow-band ultraviolet rays combined with traditional Chinese medicine bath in the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris |

Abstract Objective To analyze the effect and safety of narrow-band ultraviolet rays combined with traditional Chinese medicine bath in the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris.Methods A total of 124 patients with psoriasis vulgaris admitted the Department of Dermatology in the Seventh People′s Hospital of Shenyang City from January 2019 to February 2020 were selected as the research subjects.They were divided into control group (n=62) and observation group (n=62) by the random number table method.Patients in the control group were treated with Mometasone Furoate Cream,and in the observation group,they were treated with narrow-band ultraviolet rays combined with traditional Chinese medicine bath on the basis of the control group.The total effectiveness rate of treatment,the psoriasis area lesions and severity index (PASI) score before and after treatment,and the total incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effectiveness rate of treatment in the observation group was 91.94%,higher than that of the control group accounting for 75.81%,and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).After treatment,PASI scores of two groups were lower than those before treatment,the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).The PASI score of the observation group after treatment was (13.87±1.16) points,and that of the control group was (18.26±1.73) points.The PASI score of the observation group after treatment was lower than that of the control group,with statistical significance (P＜0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 4.84%,lower than that in the control group accounting for 16.13%,and the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).Conclusion Patients with psoriasis vulgaris receiving narrow-band ultraviolet rays combined with traditional Chinese medicine bath treatment can improve their skin lesions and enhance the treatment effect,and the incidence of adverse reactions is low,which is worthy of clinical application.
