Abstract Colorectal cancer is currently one of the three most common types of cancer in China,and surgical treatment is still the most effective treatment for colorectal cancer.With the continuous development of endoscopic instruments and surgical techniques,laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery has been widely used in colorectal cancer resection because of its advantages of small trauma and rapid recovery.However,postoperative pain and related complications still affect the postoperative recovery of these patients.As a highly selective α2agonist,Dexmedetomidine has been widely used and beneficial in the perioperative period of colorectal cancer surgery.This article reviews the application of Dexmedetomidine in postoperative analgesia and postoperative recovery of colorectal cancer.
