Abstract Objective To explore the application effect of nurse-patient communication skills in the elderly diabetes care.Methods A total of 225elderly patients with diabetes in our hospital from January 2018 to June 2019 were selected as the study subjects.They were divided into two groups according to the random number tablemethod,112cases in the study group and 113cases in the control group.The patients in the control group were given routine clinical nursing program,while the patients in the study group were given routine nursing with nurse-patient communication.The satisfaction and compliance of the two groupswere compared.Results The total satisfaction of the study group was higher than that of the control group,with statistical difference (P＜0.05).The total compliance of the study group was higher than that of the control group,with statistical difference (P＜0.05).Conclusion The application of nurse-patient communication skills in the clinical care of elderly patients with diabetes can improve the patient′s care satisfaction and clinical care compliance,which isworthy ofwide application in nursing.
