Application effect of virtual reality technology in labor analgesia |

Abstract Objective To explore the application effect of virtual reality (VR) technology in labor analgesia.Methods 60 cases of full-term parturient women who were admitted to our hospital from March 2018 to February 2019 were selected as research objects,according to random number table method,the patients were divided into experimental group(n=30)and control group(n=30).The experimental group adopted VR technology to assist delivery,while the control group adopted routine observation and nursing of delivery.The labor duration,cesarean section rate,depression score and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The first labor of the experimental group was shorter than that of the control group,with statistical difference (P<0.05).Visual analogue scale (VAS) score in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The cesarean section rate of the experimental group was 3.3%,which was lower than that of the control group of 20.0%,with statistical difference (P<0.05).Depression score of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The incidence of maternal adverse reactions in the control group was 10.0%,which was not statistically significant compared with 6.7% in the experimental group (P>0.05).Conclusion The application of VR technology in the delivery process of pregnant women can reduce the level of pain and depression during delivery,shorten the duration of the first labor,and improve the rate of vaginal delivery,although there are problems of eye focusing and dizziness and discomfort.The overall clinical effect still has significant advantages.
