| Application effect of 5A nursing mode combined with structured health education in patients with type 2 diabetes |

Abstract Objective To explore the effect of 5A nursing mode combined with structured health education in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2DM).Methods Sixty patients with T2DM who were admitted to our hospital from January 2018 to May 2019 were selected and divided into observation group and control group, 30 cases in each group.The observation group used the structured health education combined with the 5A nursing model，and the control group used the traditional nursing method.Glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c), postprandial 2-hour blood glucose (2 h PBG), fasting blood glucose (FBG), self-efficacy score, disease uncertainty (MUIS) score，medication compliance (Morisky) score, total nursing satisfaction index were compared between two groups.Results The scores of HbA1c, 2 h PBG, FBG and MUIS in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The self-efficacy score, total satisfaction rate of nursing and Morisky score were higher in the observation group than in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).Conclusion Structured health education combined with 5A nursing mode can effectively improve the overall satisfaction rate and self-efficacy of patients with T2DM, improve their blood sugar levels, and it is worth promoting.
