Abstract[Abstract]Objective To explore the clinical effect of Montelukast Sodium in the treatment of cough variant asthma in children.Methods A total of 80 children with cough variant asthma treated in our hospital from January 2016 to December 2018 were selected as the research subjects，they were divided into the control group（40 cases）and the observation group（40 cases）according to the random sequential method.The control group was treated with routine therapy，and the observation group was treated with Montelukast Sodium on the basis of routine therapy.The clinical effect and incidence of adverse reactions of the two groups were compared.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 95.00%，which was higher than 80.00% of the control group，the difference was statistically significant（P＜0.05）.There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups（P＞0.05）.Conclusion Montelukast Sodium can improve the clinical treatment effect of children with cough variant asthma without increasing adverse reactions，which is worthy of clinical application.
