Abstract [Abstract]Objective To evaluate the effect of immediate repair of breast defects by adjacent flap transfer during breast conserving surgery and quality of life in patients with inner upper quadrant breast cancer.Methods A total of 100 cases of patients with inner upper quadrant breast cancer treated in our hospital were selected as the subjects，and divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method，with 50 cases in each group.The patients in the control group were treated with modified radical mastectomy.The patients in the observation group received immediate repair of breast defects by adjacent flap transfer during breast conserving surgery.The surgical status，cosmetic effect，quality of life，the total treatment satisfaction and total incidence of adverse events of the two groups were compared.Results There was no significant difference in operation time，intraoperative blood loss and hospitalization time between the two groups（P＞0.05）.The good rate of cosmetic effect，physiological function and mental health scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group，the differences were statistically significant（P＜0.05）.The total treatment satisfaction in the observation group was higher than that in the control group，and the difference was statistically significant（P＜0.05）.There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse events between the two groups（P＞0.05）.Conclusion For female breast cancer patients，the immediate repair of breast defects by adjacent flap transfer during breast conserving surgery can significantly improve the mental health and physiological function，maintain the beauty of the breast，enhance the satisfaction of treatment.And it has no significant impact on the operation and postoperative adverse events，which is worthy of further promotion in clinical practice.
